”This was our first time staying in Avon. This was a cozy room in a great location. The Avon Pier was right across the street. Coffee in the cafe was delicious and convenient. Dawn was accommodating and had great recommendations for area restaurants. We also enjoyed a clay class and made our own coffee mugs. What a great experience. ”

”It was our first gaming vaca since the kids and grandkids!! Ages from 11 mo to 60 yrs! Lots of amenities in the area. The house, pool, beach were all awesome! We were blessed with great weather! Rooms are kinda small, and bathrooms are small too. Kitchen was fully furnished with all our needs! Bring your own TP, paper towels, beach towels, and cooking spices. Owner is fabulous to communicate with! No issues at all. Neighbors can be a bit loud, but the house is fairly tight, and a white noise...

”We stayed for a week mid-May, family of 5. Property was as described and pictured. Classic beach/lake house vibe. Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances. New towels. Great pool with plenty of loungers. There is a very short walk over thru the dunes to the beach, right behind the house, the beach is very quiet and clean, lots of wildlife, crabs, birds....We visited some other beaches further north and this one was much cleaner and much less crowded. Maybe one group of people every 300-400...

”Other than the weather, our trip was enjoyable. The Drift Inn is quaint and cozy. Enjoyed a good read on the screened deck while it rained was relaxing and comfortable. The only real issue is that the home is surrounded by overgrown trees (hard to get that Ocean View) and covered... I mean COVERED, in Poison Ivy. Also, the "fish cleaning" area could be tidied up.... the last people who stayed there, put their fish mess in the trash can but never took it to the road to be picked up so we smelled...

”The DECK was absolutely perfect. A very accurate listing plenty of space, cookware/dishware, with a great grilling area. With multiple places to eat meals it felt like we were at 5 different restaurants. Location was nice - it was a short walk to the beach (2min) and a short drive to the fish market(3min)/grocery store(5min). Chuck (property manager) was very prompt to responding to emails for any of the questions we had throughout the trip.”

”My wife and I needed this getaway for the weekend. Outstanding experience at this property. Many businesses are shutting down for the off-season, but several good choices available. Cape Hatteras Light Station is completely covered in scaffolding due to a complete restoration.”
