Chalet't – Kirkcudbright

”Check pub is open when you visit as its the only place in town for food.”

”After a communications issue I got the code and enjoyed our sunny happy space. Had a couple suggestions for owner who responded quickly. Frustrated with VRBO/Expedia for shirking responsibilities for fees and chose to blame owner. Poor customer service from the company but owner’s efficiency more than compensated for their failure.”

”Good location”

”Older property but well maintained.”

”We stayed just the one night. The staff were very friendly and eager to provide good service. We enjoyed a pleasant drink on the lovely patio overlooking the river followed by a tasty meal in the bar. Breakfast was excellent . Our room was fairly basic with quite a small ensuite . The WiFi was good. We were pleased with our stay which represented good value.”

”Excellent service from the ladies who run the inn”

”The hotel is very nice, with lovely rooms and beautiful surroundings. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, although they often had to juggle multiple roles at once, which sometimes made them difficult to find. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, and if I return to Castle Douglas, I would happily stay here again.”

”The staff attitude : very cheerful and welcoming”
