”Last Time I said what I feel , EXPEDIA sent me suggestions Like , You get what you paid for !!! It Stunk /Smelled like Cigarettes , The Shower Dripped and made the Bathroom Smell like Black Mold , THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THERE WAS NO SMOKE DETECTOR , I KNOW FOR A FACT RENTING ANY UNIT IN CALIFORNIA WITHOUT A SMOKE DETECTOR IS AGAINST THE LAW... MY OWN SAFETY WAS AT RISK.”

”Delightful and funky. Spa robes were ready at the foot of the bed, the fire warmed the room, there was no sink in the bathroom, and the kitchen outlet was directly over the quality Italian range. Desolation Hotel is isolated at the end of Hope Valley, which was an essential part of the Emmigrant Trail. The "hotel" is a collection of comfortable cabins hidden in the trees above the restaurant/lobby & outdoor bar & dining area. It is an ideal location for those who like hiking or trout fishing.”

”The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that there was no air conditioning. I had stayed there in the winter and it was not an issue. The most attractive thing was the reasonable price as most of the hotels on a Saturday night are $350 to $500 so I was pleased with the price of $157 and I was also given an upgrade to a king bed. The room had two fans and the night was cool for a June day. The owners/staff were very attentive.”

”Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. Once I showed them my credit card statement they refunded the money...

”we arrived after a 9-hour drive expecting to check in at 4:00 pm, but the front desk agent, almost laughing about it, told us they were still waiting for housekeeping to prepare our room. it wasn’t ready until 5:30 pm, and we had plans scheduled just 30 minutes later there were also several other issues: the room didn’t have a proper mirror besides a very small one in the bathroom, and we were given the wrong door code. after returning later, we couldn’t get back into our room because of...

”Did not expect to be ushered into a “sales pitch” upon arrival. Spent 20 minutes listening to rep try to convince us to attend a sales presentation. The room was disappointingly small, heater fan was loud (so didn’t use heater) the shower was so forceful it hurt. Would not use this facility again. Not worth it.”
