Welcome to Do Duck Inn by KEES Vacations!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Experience all that Duck Village has to offer while staying at Do Duck Inn! This stunning four-bedroom, three-bathroom gem with a private pool is located in the heart of Duck and has everything you could want or need for your next Outer Banks vacation.

The first level area serves as the main entryway and features a fun rec room with a foosball table and TV. Walk up to the second level of the home and you will find a King En Suite, a bedroom with a Queen bed and Pyramid bunk bed, and an additional kid-friendly bedroom with two Twin beds. Step out onto the balcony on cool summer nights and unwind in the hot tub!

The third level is where you will find the spacious, open concept living, dining, and kitchen areas. Spend an evening or two sipping cocktails and watching the sunset on the balcony. A Queen bedroom with an accompanying full bath in the hallway is also on this floor.

The exterior home has a private, fenced-in pool, a charcoal grill for evening barbeques, and an outdoor shower for quick rinses after long days on the beach.

Do Duck Inn is just a short walk to the beach, the Town of Duck boardwalk, and nearly every shop and restaurant in Duck! You and your family will have plenty to do all week without having to ever get into your vehicle.

Take it easy and enjoy the laid-back Village of Duck at the Do Duck Inn!

This property has 4 parking spots for guests.

**Private unheated pools will open on April 16th and close on October 1st. Hot Tubs are available year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6pm on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The house was very clean and well appointed. A few minor issues like the sliding glass doors are very hard to open and could use new screen doors. The pool was clean but there was some trash around the pool. Would definitely recommend if fixes are made.

Great with some specific suggestions

The house was very nice and in an excellent location. However, for the steep price there were a few things that could be improved. The sliding door in the living room was almost impossible to slide and the screen does not close correctly, so bugs can come in. No screens on any windows. The management company does not provide nor leave from previous guests any basic things to use in the kitchen such as spices, oil & vinegar, enough dish soap, trash bags or paper towels. Spatulas and knives, cookie sheets, are tired and need updating. They also only provide 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom no matter length of stay. Also, the fluffy carpet (in a beach house!) and sofa cover could be replaced. There were no beach towels for the beach or pool. The outdoor shower should have soap.

Overall nice property to stay at and great location. There were some issues with a repair that was being made in one of the bathrooms upon check in that had not been communicated to us, there was a bit of a mess left behind. However the house suited our family’s needs and we had a nice vacation.

This house was the perfect size for our family of 6. The location is perfect, close to stores and restaurants, easy walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were a hit and where we spent most of our time. Downsides; plumbing is terrible and we had to plunge toilets constantly. Not something you want to do while on vacation. When you’d flush the toilets water would also leak outside onto the ground. Gross. One second floor bedroom had blood on the duvet cover and on the carpet. When using the stairs from the second floor bedroom to the ground level pool area, my husband nearly fell through the bottom stair.due to it being broken. Make sure you bring extra trash bags, real dish soap, toilet paper and dishwasher tabs. You only get the 2 trash bags that are in the cans, the dish soap didn’t get suds and didn’t clean very good. The only tp is what’s on the roll. The plumbers getting in the way for the last hour we were there trying to get packed and stuff cleaned up was a nice touch.

Kees Vacation Rental Company gets one star

Property was nice and in great neighborhood for families. Unfortunately Kees Vacation management is awful. Tried to change our contract 30 days before arrival and did not give us access code for check in. Had to call and dispute contract to get the access code less than 24 hours before check in. Warning - keep a printed copy of your dated/signed contract and check your balance 30 days before your arrival. Kees will change your contract and auto bill additional charges to your credit card.

We had a wonderful vacation at Do Duck Inn. Although we thought the beach was a little further than we liked. But we managed to drive up with all our gear, drop off, drive back to the property and then one person walked back. There are a few cob webs on the ceiling in the entertainment area and also on the dining area light fixtures. Other than that it was very clean and comfortable. We would stay again at this place.

Great Place Friend Group

We had a great stay, location was perfect for local shopping and dining, only 20 minute drive to nightlife. Property manager was very responsive, plenty of seating in the house for group of 10!

Disappointing

This house had great potential: a spacious accommodation in a location close to all the attractions of Duck with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. However, the overall upkeep of the house was generally lacking: untrimmed vegetation around the pool which required us to be constantly skimming; small, dirty grill with a bent grate that didn't fit properly and rendered the grill unusable; dirty carpeting with old food and even a needle; a vacuum so clogged with dirt that we had to clean the vacuum before we could clean the carpet; drier vent so clogged that it took three cycles in order to dry a load of towels (also a fire hazard); a sectional in the great room that was uncomfortable and should be replaced. Also, when we discovered a loose outlet in the main room, we reported it immediately and got a prompt answer saying a work order was submitted. However, we weren't told when a technician was supposed to come. One showed up on Tuesday but since we weren't home, he moved on and didn't return until the next morning. So a dangerous problem didn't get fixed until we'd been in the house for four days. Overall it just seemed like the house needed a lot of attention to make it what could be a lovely accommodation.

Great Getaway

Big house located perfectly in the city of Duck. Long driveway everything is accessible and in walking distance. House was a little outdated but clean nonetheless and very spacious. Definitely would recommend.

OBX Family Vacation

Although a bit dated, this home was perfect for our family. The place is right in the heart of Duck’s boardwalk and near all the food, shops, and venues. Our kids are older and were able to explore the boardwalk area and visit the beach at the end of the street. The pool and hot tub were clean, well-maintained, and very relaxing. The layout of the house worked well for us—especially the layout of the great room and kitchen. We were all able to comfortably be together while preparing and eating meals and just hanging out. The 3rd floor balcony off of the great room also seemed to have a nice breeze as well. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cleanliness was lacking

The good: The house was easy to get to and nicely set up. Kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the pool even if it was a little chilly (it's unheated and in the shade for most of the day). The beach walk was on the longer side but still very doable. Bikes would have been great. There was a beach cart in the shed which was handy too. The bad: First of all, we found a pair of underwear under one of the beds. The house could really use a deep clean. There were cobwebs on walls, light fixtures, and curtains. The vent for the HVAC was coated in dust too. The shower curtain in the ensuite was moldy. There was trash outside the fence in the back and towels left outside from other guests. The dryer vent in the carport area needs to be cleaned out. We had wonderful weather and ultimately a nice stay, but wish more care would have been taken with preparing the property for guests.

Perfect location

Simple house but close to Duck boardwalk and downtown. Golf cart was a necessity for travels to the beach as it is several blocks back.
