North side - 2 bedrooms (1 with Queen, CATV: opening to deck with swing and overlooking pool, connecting bath (with tub and shower), 1 with Queen)

South side - 2 bedrooms (1 with Queen, opens to deck with swing overlooking pool connecting bath (with tub and shower), and 1 with Twins). All rooms have ceiling fans. Laundry room.

Level 3:
Great room opening to deck overlooking pool, with vaulted ceiling, CATV, DVD player, stereo. Kitchen/dining area. Furnished, screened porch with ceiling fan. Bedroom (with Queen), bath (with shower).

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Minimal supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, no laundry soap, foil, saran wrap, or storage containers for leftovers. No plastic mugs to take to pool area. There was actually a chair at the bottom of the pool when we arrived, which my husband fished out. 5 bedrooms and 3 full bath - no hair dryer. No detailed instructions on TV use, my husband more or less just played with the buttons. We've rented houses from VRBO previously and there were more supplies readily available.

This was a great house for our family. The beach was close by and there was the pool for windy and red flag days. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.
The pool was perfect for windy days and after the beach relaxing.

A week at the beach

Off and on, nine of us were at the house from 07/26/2024 to 08/02/2024. Ages were 11-76. Completely satisfied with the rental. It is on a busy road, but you don’t hear it as everything is in the back of the house (decks/pool). The property is covered in trees. We didn’t see or hear any neighbors behind or beside us the entire time. Plenty of parking. Grandkids loved the pool. 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the ocean. Parking pass included with the stay. Water pressure and hot water for the showers was never a problem. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space in the family area with a spacious dining room table. TV was never turned on. Internet was fine, but spotty around the pool. 4 balconies and 1 screened-in porch gave plenty of space for those quiet moments. Only 1 suggestion. Trim the trees back a bit to make it easier to see getting out of the driveway.
