”One very seldom meets so friendly and professional staff as at Serena Inn. Rooms are cosy with local flavour in furniture, seaview is great and food is delicious. All details in the building show that plenty of effort and money has been invested into restoration. The hotel has been built from the former post headquarters and a chinese doctor´s home - fotos show that the starting point was quite discouraging. The end result is far from sterile standard.”

”I was able to get very early (free) check-in and also late check-out. the hotel has a great and long history and it locates in fabulous and busy area in Stone Town. easy to find! many restaurants nearby, also only just 200 m to the beach. no place for parking nearby! The room was too huge for me actually, so it was even hard to see TV from the other end of the room. ”An excellent spot in the Stonetown. We stayed a couple of nights in Espresso. This location is near to the harbour area, and many shops for souvenirs or daily needs. The room was clean and spaceous, a slight surprise was the separate but private washroom - understandable in an old building with history and character. The service is excellent, and the breakfast was very versatile. High recommendations!”

”This property is right by the ferry making it the most convenient choice one could make. The rooftop terrace offers great sunset views and the restaurant on the terrace serves tasty Indian cuisine that is top notch. The lobby has a fountain that id want in my own home. I love the paintings on each floor the pool area is filled with greenery and has lots of space. Id highly reccomend this property to anyone visting Zanzibar”

”The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there. The staff were friendly and always greeted us. They were helpful when we called for assistance with anything we needed to clarify...
