”Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. ”This was our first spa type hotel we have stayed at in the UK. Loved every minute of it. The pool and the saunas were wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable, the bed excellent. Breakfast was very good, too, especially the sausages were delicious.It was only about 20 mins from Manchester airport. From now on if we need to stay close to the airport, the Mere would be our first choise. Ticked all the boxes, top marks.”

The rooms were very well equipped with hair dryer, smellies and tea and coffee etc. staff were happy to help with everything. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. We stayed as we were at a wedding at colshaw hall, which was about 5 miles away. Great location and highly recommended. Thank you to the owners who are fabulous hosts ”
