The island is small, not clean, crouded, smelly, toilets do not work well, hand washing is not available in many places, and everything is old and worn down. We got food poisoning from the island even though we were very picky and careful. I recommend a day trip for island hopping, snorkeling etc. This hotel is also old. They had a warning...

"Rayavadee is a once in a lifetime experience. The hotel is surrounded by three most beautiful beaches that are really hard to access otherwise. The two-storey rooms were a little worn down, but you are paying for the experience of staying at this unique property and on close proximity to one of beautiful beaches on the world."
"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel on Phi Phi Island! The location is perfect, nicely tucked away from the busy center, but still easy to reach either via a scenic 1.5km beach trail or a quick taxi boat ride (100–150 baht per person).
We booked a basic bungalow and were super happy with it. The view was absolutely amazing, and the AC worked really well, kept the room nice and cool, even during hot days.
The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and always helpful. We were so pleased with everything that we ended up doubling the length of our stay!
The beach right in front of the hotel is beautiful and offers great snorkeling opportunities.
All in all, for the price and star rating, this place is excellent value for money. Highly recommend!"
"Viihtyisä ja siisti hotelli, jossa oma ranta. Lapsille oma allasalue, joka rauhoitti toisen altaan pääsääntöisesti aikuisten käyttöön. Rauhallinen hotelli, mutta silti aivan palveluiden äärellä. Ystävällinen henkilökunta ja palvelu erinomaista. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen. Pieni miinus huoneiden huonosta eristyksestä, kaikki kuului läpi käytäviltä. Lämmin suositus! Voisin tulla uudestaan!"

"Loistava. Ainut miinus oli ravintoloissa käytettävä qr-koodi, ei paperisia menuja saatavilla. Sivusto kaatui 10min välein ja hermot oli kireällä, kun joutui aina uudelleen tekemään ruokatilauksen. "

Excellent breakfast (and lunch and dinner as well). The hotel is in a calm area on the western end of the northern beach of Phi Phi - very calm around there apart from the aforementioned music (which comes from across the bay)."
