”Was a first time in Maui and in this hotel. Got an upgrade to a studio with a kitchen and a balcony. The room was awesome and super clean and comfortable! All the neccessary kitchen supplies to make breakfast, lunch ot whatever. Microwave, stove, oven, large fridge and freezer. The bed was excellent to sleep in. ”Great property over all! Only a few issues we had, the shower water only works at certain points and you must turn it a few times before it will come out hot. There’s lots of dead spots. The AC kicks in really hard during the day and then during the night shuts off so you wake up really hot. Over all tho we would stay again. The pools are great and you can walk to the beach. ”Great unit and location. As others stated the unit is dated but it was very clean and has everything you need as well as extras like beach equipment, chairs, a cooler and lots of kitchen essentials. ”We absolutely loved this unit. After a 6 hour flight and several more hours waiting for bags, getting groceries and driving from the airport, we couldn’t have asked for a better condo. ”The Royal Kahana is great. Our room was great! We were surprised by the lack of Aloha. The no exception on the check in check out time during a low occupancy period for example. Later we found out that also the laundry room and the gym were out of order as they had experienced a fire of the electricity system. Lack of transperency is disappointing. We stayed 4 nights, and were told there would be cleaning service only every 3 days. After 3 nights the room was not done. I asked about it and the attendant promised to have it done. No-one ever came and no-one ever said anything about it. When I checked out I mentioned it and the answer was literally a shrug. No-one seems to care about anything. I´ve been trying to think of something positive to say. Let´s go with that the butterfish in the restaurant was tasty."
