What an experience! We had the priviledge of attending the morning ceremony performed by local monks.
Staff was extremely friendly and we enjoyed our stay at Jokiin. Looking forward to our next visit :)

”It was truly an amazing experience. At first please note that this is not a traditional hotel, but a active temple which hosts travellers. My room was traditional room with a tatami floor and shared bathroom. Room and bathroom were both clean and nice. The atmosphere in the temple was calm and quiet throughout my whole stay. Food that was served was amazing. It was also interesting to follow the morning service and the fire ritual. ”
”Honestly, there aren't lots of restaurants near the hotel, but at least there's a well-stocked 7-11 and a Japanese stationery store close by that can brighten my day. The bed was comfy enough, though having an extra pillow would have made it even better. The living room does feel a little cramped.”

We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value.”
