Condo location says ocean view but there is no ocean view. I felt that it was over priced for no ocean view while, later, looking at condos with ocean view found for the same price. The resorts next to us for just a little more were right on the beach with full ocean view. If that matters to you?

Beautiful Kauai!

We had a wonderful stay and our rental had everything we needed. I would suggest that a few things be updated like decor and mattress. Kiahuna Plantation is a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely Poipu Retreat

The condo was gorgeous and had everything we needed. We are grateful to be able to travel and explore this paradise. The proximity to the beach and all amenities was perfect. The staff were so nice. Kindness goes a long way these days and we really appreciate it being Canadians and visitors to this country. The kids loved being close to the mall and everyone was so nice to my teen with bright pink hair. Thanks again!!

We love the Kiahuna!

We've stayed at the Kiahuna many times and always have a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and it is family friendly without being a nuthouse. The ocean and beach are very close and we used the pool/athletic club across the street daily. This unit is very similar to other units we've stayed in -- not fancy, but has what you need. It is well stocked with everything you'll need for cooking, going to the beach, etc. We did end up paying a lot more than we are used to for pretty much the same experience, but that may have just been bad timing on our part. We did have an issue with the door lock which kept us in for one night, but it was fixed the next day. All in all a lovely experience as we have come to expect from our stays at the Kiahuna!

Beautiful Kiahuna!

This was a special trip to the island for my daughter's wedding. Staying at the Kiahuna - where their friends also located - gave us lovely sunsets, big waves, turtles, and colorful rainbows! We enjoyed a 4th of July BBQ with everyone in the wedding party on the grass between our condos. An altogether joyful time!

We really enjoyed Kiahuna 143 and from the beginning the host was very easy to communicate with. The condo was very clean, everything worked, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for cooking inside & out. Thanks!!

Classic Hawaii on prime beach

I write reviews with details I'd want to know when renting. The whole property is beautiful, with meticulous landscaping and good upkeep on all buildings. We learned all units are not equal - this one was nice. Not super updated but lovely. Kitchen well supplied, although the stove was a bit fussy. Very clean on arrival. Easy checkin. You don't see the beach from the lanai but it's very sunny facing south and looks over quiet lawn. Be aware the outdoor seating is almost always in sun because of orientation. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine. Enough space for two to move around. Only issue was it being a bit hot at night - no A/C and while the breeze outside is fine, it doesn't move through the unit that well. Glad for large floor fan for evenings after the unit had warmed all day. A bit of noise from neighbors but resort seems generally not a "party zone" so quiet at night. Easy walk to lovely beach. Never used the pool - seems too far away and remote from resort. Quick access to nearby shops in two locations. Good snorkeling and turtles at Poipu beach just down the road. Didn't expect extra towels midstay but nice touch. No noise from Poipu Road because interior enough on property (would worry about units right on the road since bedrooms are oriented on side of units toward road.) Would rent this one again.

All was good. However, there seemed to be a rodent problem on the entrance balcony. Quite a bit of rat feces on steps and near storage door.

Wonderful place, nice view

This is our third visit to Kiahuna Plantation - we love it there! The unit is very nicely furnished and well-kept, with all the necessities (except salt and pepper and condiments). This is a garden view unit, and this one has very good views out over the lawn area and bridges, rather than looking at another building. Fun to watch all the birds! We had only two small items less than perfect. The bathroom (shower/tub/toilet room) is pretty old and could use updating. And the balcony (second floor) is more angled to the morning sun than the other units we have stayed in, so the bright sun bathes the balcony pretty early in the day. So we spent more time inside than on the balcony, but still "borrowed" the outdoors via the sliding doors. All in all, a wonderful unit, and Patricia was great in communicating prior to our visit. One other thing - watch out for the afternoon check-in lady, she doesn't take any flack off anybody!
