Majatalot – Koya

”It was truly an amazing experience. At first please note that this is not a traditional hotel, but a active temple which hosts travellers. My room was traditional room with a tatami floor and shared bathroom. Room and bathroom were both clean and nice. The atmosphere in the temple was calm and quiet throughout my whole stay. Food that was served was amazing. It was also interesting to follow the morning service and the fire ritual. ”

”Great people Street,to property were by Taxi was tight & unsafe. Bathroom on different floor.-Dinner Not much options but cook or get sandy ”

”A little difficult to find if you are walking, but the owner was lovely, and went out of his way to help me and my friend. The hotel itself was very comfortable, good wifi and a comfortable shared space.”

”Short walk to the property from the train station. Clean rooms and common areas. Some amenities are not offered like the bath tub but shower is and it is clean. No cooking allowed but there are enough restaurants near the station to need the use the kitchen for meals. If you are concerned about shared toilet situation the property has two clean toilets that it's not an issue. Overall a great place to stay at to go exploring. I would definitely stay there again!”
