”This is absolutely one of the best hotels in the world without question. Room staff facility bkfst parking location all in a one stop fantastic package. ”
”Lovely old hotel conveniently located to all the sights of Antwerp, but in a mostly residential area that is quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast, friendly staff, very relaxed environment. The building is beautiful, but be aware that you’ll need to climb plenty of stairs; if that’s a problem, choose a more modern hotel with an elevator! I enjoyed my night here and would stay here again if I return to Antwerp. My room was basic, but I slept well, and that’s what really matters at a hotel.”

”Wonderful boutique hotel in city centre of Antwerp, walking distance from most highlights, easy access to public transport. Our duplex room had an amazing private roof terrace with views on the skyline and the wonderful Antwerp Cathedral. The bathing products by atelier rebul are a treat. Only disadvantage being in the lively centre is that there can be loud street noise due to partying people. Would recommend for weekend away! ”
”Ons verblijf bij De Gulde Schoen is ons wederom supergoed bevallen. We houden van de luxe uitstraling en goede kwaliteit van afwerking van de ruimtes. Van de matrassen op het bed die heerlijk liggen tot aan het kopje koffie uit het Nespresso apparaat, alles klopt gewoon. En dik pluspunt is dat wanneer je de deur uitstapt je midden in het centrum staat. We hebben weer genoten!”

Om rekening mee te houden / te verbeteren:
- parkeren! 31€ voor een dagkaart in
de parkeergarage vlakbij is best erg veel geld en toch een stukje lopen. Als daar een betere oplossing voor is, houden we ons aanbevolen.
- er is geen tv op de kamer (hoewel we het nu niet gemist hebben)
- er is geen lift, wij hadden geen problemen met de trap, was ook maar 1 etage, maar voor anderen wel iets om...
”Amazing place to stay if you are heading to Antwerp. Location is great near the central area and very close to the station. The apartment itself was spacious and spotlessly clean in a new and modern building.
Access and check in is via an app but it all worked perfectly and there are even lockers you can use on the day to check out.
Hard to find any negatives and would definitely choose to stay here when. I come back to Antwerp.
