Very good location for Gibraltar and free parking
We were travelling on highest temperature times this summer and would Have needed a bit more powerfull aircon in the Room. This hotel was a little bit dated but tidy and clean. Our balcony was not only for us two because it’s long and narrow joined model in this first floor. But there were nobody else this time to Enjoy a seaview in the evening. Everybody working in the hotel were Nice and all things went smoothly. Easy check in and out. Car was parked in the street nearby and was free of charce. Gibraltar visit for few ours was our destination and this hotel is not too far from the border. We did walk there, but maybe it could Have been wiser to Go by car while we had it on rental… but Overall: Nice hotel and good location. Bathroom has a good size bath and it was Nice after a long day on our feet exploring the area.

Spacious and modern room with balcony
Under 1 kilometer to the border of the Gibraltar and you can walk there easily. Services like Carrefour hipermarket, bars and restaurants, beach promenade close by. Overall the hotel was pretty good value for money even if the breakfast was not superb. The only thing we really didn´t like was that there was very strong perfume smell all over the hotel also in the room even if we sent an email in advance telling about our allergies for perfumes. Extra points for firm mattrasses.

Siisti ja hyvinhoidettu hotelli, moderni ja tyylikäs joskin vähän luonteeton sisustus. Kävelymatka Gibraltarin rajalle ja La Linean keskustaan, ihan lähellä rantaa. Alue aika mitäänsanomaton ja vähän ränsistynytkin, muttei turvaton. Tähän hintaan erinomainen valinta.

Ravintola ei lähistöllä ollut pahemmin. Muuten hyvä sijaisti Gibraltarilla poikkeamiseen. Suosittelen kyllä.

Really friendly and helpful staff The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the border with Gibraltar so very handy. The breakfast was enormous and kept me going. The room was spotless and had a beautiful view over the rock. Pool was still cloed as it wasn't quite yet in season so can't comment on that. Overall i'd definitely recommend.

We were here to visit Gibraltar and with the high cost of hotels across the boarder opted to stay in LaLinea. This hotel was selected for their affiliation with Marriot, and after staying with them I am very surprised that they are able to maintain the affiliation. The rooms were very basic, walls were dirty, trim was damaged, dust bunnies in the corners, and the highly fragrant cleaning solutions made our eyes water they were so strong. We had to open the window for several hours to air out the room, which resulted in mosquitoes in our room since there are no screens. The bedding and towels at least seemed to be clean. However I suspect that it used to be a smoking room because once the strong cleaner smell was gone there was a whiff of tobacco present - particularly in the dingy curtains. Parking was not included with our room, and was a high daily fee. We needed up street parking in an area that does not seem to be all that nice. Would not come back here and plan to let my friend that works at Marriot corporate know about our poor experience. Pay the extra to stay in Gibraltar proper, you won’t regret it.

This is an economical Marriott, very good deal. Breakfast was great. Complementary items are a very nice touch. Found it annoying though that the room temp can’t exceed 21.5oC, other than that was perfect. It’s misleading to say it has a pool, pool is closed.

11 night stay for New Year
Initally allocated room 320 which has a very small balcony and only 1 chair and was also noisy due to air conditioning unit in room 318. As we were staying for 11 nights we asked to move room but had to wait 4 nights as there was limited room availability due to unadvised renovation work in the hotel. However once moved everything was ok and we enjoyed our stay. The addition of a coffee maker in the room was much appreciated. We have stayed many times and will return and would recommend to others. Television in room says that it has CNN and BBC world news but unable to view either channel.

No airport transfer service
Booked as an overnight stay before a flight the next morning from Gibraltar airport. On check in was advised that there was no airport transfer service despite what it said on my booking confirmation. Disappointing to be misinformed but not really a problem as it was only a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk. That aside, the room was spacious and very clean. the bed was comfy and there was a lovely view from the balcony. Minibar was well stocked but would have liked a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. We would definitely use again.
