”We enjoyed our stay here, the home was spacious, awesome balcony with volcano view. Awesomely designed bathrooms, with good shower pressure. Beds were on the firmer side, which is great for some, but not for all. Had enough room for everyone, we only used the bedrooms downstairs. Neighborhood felt safe, people were friendly. ”The house was clean, spacious and perfect for our party of 6. The house is in a gated community, so it felt very safe. The host was quick to respond to all questions, which we appreciated! Definitely recommend this house if staying in La Fortuna.”

”Oscar was a great host - the view is amazing and the location to the activities we wanted to do was perfect. The only things I would like to see improved are more places to hang or put your clothes and the main area was not air conditioned so it made it difficult to all hang out in the center area. The pool was great and the outdoor cabana was wonderful.”

”This is a very unique home, a one-of-a-kind artists original. The tin roof really echoes rain and the open ceiling carries noise and conversations within the house. The location can’t be beat! We loved all the suggestions and took advantage of the proximity of things to do.”

”A great place to relax and enjoy the mountains. Plenty of room to spread out with hammocks out back. Had a BBQ for the family at the pool house and the 3-year-olds really liked the small pool with the fountain. Will stay again on next trip.”

”We had a most amazing time at gem of a place. We loved company of Mrs Marisel and Anyara. We had breakfast with them everyday. Josh took us for a night frog tour and had amazing knowledge. It was amazing hard work and love he put together in the property. You need a car to get to this place but its worth a try. There is a beautiful private forest behind the house where there are several birds who come during the morning (including at least three tocans), there are also atleast one or two sloths...

”I’ll start of by saying the house is so unique and beautiful and is a perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. Having an open living space was great with a perfect view of Arenal. The property is located within walking distance of all the restaurants, sodas and grocery stores you need and a short drive to all the activities and adventures around Arenal. We were 2 families of 4 and the kids spent all their time in the pool when not out and we never felt on top of each other. Highly recommend this...

”The property was exactly what we needed for exploring the La Fortuna area. The beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. It is located close to town and all the major tourist locations. The property is beautiful. We saw red eyed tree frogs out the kitchen window and a scarlet macaw in the trees next to the house. ”We were immersed into the neighborhood or the local La fortuna residences and close to the town and tour activities. We stayed with our 2 daughters, 10 and 12, while there is no AC, it cools off enough in the evening to be perfectly comfortable. There is a small market near by for basics. The yard is beautifully kept and Zuelema is very communicative when gardeners came to work. There is a river near by that we got to meet some of the locals and play in the water away from the tourist areas....

”This cabin has all the appliances needed. The backyard is full of life; the enourmous toad made me jump, before admiring it! A car is essential to get around. The cabin is not within walking distance from town or activities. It’s a 10 minute drive to anything, which guaranteed our desired quietude. One point of improvement: more comfortable seating for four. The couch really accommodates two.”

”Our stay was far too short but very memorable. Enveloped in nature, this home exudes peace and contentment. Carl, the owner, welcomed us upon our arrival. He was a constant fixture, regaling us with the stories of his amazing life and the restoration of the land surrounding his property. ”We loved our stay! Staying in an authentic Costa Rican home was soo cool ! We had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. Having a pool was a plus even though we didn’t use it much. We had an awesome view of the volcano! Thank you for the memories !”

”Great value with nice ousde shared kitchen and pool. Nice clean well maintained room. Friendly helpful staff. I like getting to know other travelers with the shared kitchen. Only downside it is on a main road with lots of noisy traffic. Bring earplugs.”
