It's so hard to find a property that takes larger dogs, but this was not a problem here. The fenced yard was perfect for late night let outs and running around. The location is perfect for accessing Starved Rock and Mathiessen state parks with a very useful write up of different hikes at Starved Rock provided in our welcome materials....

”Our yearly retreat was so well framed by this home full of beautiful wood and tile detailing, a large dining table for all of us to sit together, 4 bedrooms and 6 beds (1 pull-out couch and 1 air mattress), and EXTREMELY CLEAN FLOORS. Like, we walked around barefoot indoors and got NO CRUMBS OR DUST on our feet until after we’d eaten a few meals. I was really impressed by how clean the place was. Elaine was quick to respond when the dishwasher stopped working, and we figured things out! Really...
