Very picturesque, the village has retained its original character and features cafés, ice cream shops, restaurants, banks, a post office, a pharmacy, a tobacco shop, and traditional stores.<br><br>Heading from our house toward Ferragudo, you’ll find the Fort of S. João do Arade (Ferragudo Castle)<br>The Fort of S. João do Arade separates Angrinha Beach from Ferragudo’s Praia Grande (a very calm beach where the Arade River meets the sea)<br>Ferragudo’s Praia Grande is 1,000 meters long, has a parking lot, holds a Blue Flag certification, is very calm, and is considered one of the best beaches for children in the Algarve. It is monitored by lifeguards with a patrol boat, watchtowers, and supervised by the harbor master’s office. With several restaurants and beach cafés, we recommend the “A NAU” Restaurant and Bar and the Kalu Beach Bar. Average water temperature in summer: 22° / Winter: 15°<br>During the summer, there’s an inflatable water park where kids can have fun, and kayaks are also available for rent.<br><br>Very close by but in the opposite direction, about 9 km away, you’ll also find the town of Carvoeiro.
