”Amazing service and beautiful grounds, but rooms need an update. The hotel environment is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. ”We came here because of location, reviews and amenities. This location is NOT accommodating at all off season. 1. Restaurant closes without warning. 2.pool closes without warning - cheap towels even for a toddler to dry. 3. Stale breakfast items with no dates, no tea bags, juice machine wasn't working, waffle maker was peeling, no lids for cups. No accessibility to hot water after hrs-machine locked in restaurant. (And they wanted to sell bottled water). 4.Their bathroom soap is horrible....

”Horrible - WAYYYYY under staffed - drove up from Maryland for a nice vacation with my wife, 10 month old and 3 year old - we left our house at 2am and showed up around 11am - asked for early check in? No? No problem, we get it so we hung out until 4pm like everyone else, 4pm - no room, no update 5pm - no room no update - 6pm no room no update - waived a $25 fee for my inconvenience? ”We were not taken care of vis-a-vis check-in. We had to track down the maid to get some answers. We had to get a key from a neighboring restaurant. We tried to call the front desk, we tried to text and ask for the key code to get into our room and nobody ever responded not even after we checked out. Thank God for the maid Susan. The room was shabby: carpet stained, old sink in bathroom weird old shower head. No office to get ice. Still no contact from office. Very unprofessional.”

”Wonderful stay at the Pequot! It was our first time in Martha’s Vineyard, and wow we were amazed. This hotel was so adorable and had character. On our first night, there was wine service, snacks and a local musician playing on the porch. Me and my friend sat on the rocky chairs, enjoying the moment and I almost teared up as it was so perfect. ”

”No elevator. No bellboy to help with luggage. No coffee in room, but great coffee downstairs in lobby. Had to ask for paper items ( ran out of tissue, toilet paper, etc. and had to ask for fresh towels.) Out of three nights only once had maid service. Loved the night staff! Loved the collection of vinyls in rooms, plus extra ones in lobby. Loved the wine served in the evening in the awesome lobby by the fire. Best part was the locals, shops, and hospitality all in walking distance!”
