The 8 hectare big and off grid 'State of being' horse sanctuary. Off grid means that we are. not connected to the grid. We have to generate everything ourselves; water is delivered by a truck, energy comes from the sun and gets stored in batteries and the toilets are compost toilets, except the mobile homes; they have flushing toilets.

The energy storage is limited to 20 kilowatts per day for the whole land so we have to be conscious about our energy usage. Hair dryers, water boilers or electric heaters drain to much power and can't be used for that reason.

Water is precious and delivered by truck and stored on top of the hill. It is used for showers, cooking and drink water for the horses.

For me it was a big adventure to start living autonomous and off grid and I am pleased that you join me in this experience for a while.  Sakshin.
