The room was a little rundown. The front door locking mechanism was in bad shape and the door required a loud slam to close. The bathroom door also required some force. The wall-mounted air conditioner was dirty, rusty on the outside, and not very effective. The parking was valet only (for $45/day). One needed to drive around the building to a back alley to drop off the car; ditto for pickup. It would have been reasonable to expect the valet to bring the car to lobby, where "valet only" is clearly marked.
On the positive side, the view of the beach and sunset was fabulous.
