”We loved our stay at Elsa's inn. The breakfast was amazing and we learned so much about the history of the area from the host. Location was unbeatable. We went to a nearby lookout to watch the sunrise and it was stunning and not crowded like the places right by Bar Harbor. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip around Maine!”

”The motel is old and not very well kept up. Rooms are small have not seen updates since the 60’s. The carpet smells and there is no insulation so it’s either very cold or hot. It is not close to town at all but there is a shuttle across the street that runs into town. However, the staff is so UNHELPFUL that had I not already known about the shuttle, they would not have offered any information. I paid for my room in advance but when I checked in, she handed me a paper that said I still owed....

”I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Nice, quiet tucked away in the woods but close enough to restaurants and various other creature comforts in nearby Bar Harbor. I even extended my stay by a day and that was also hassle free. Y’all rock!”

”Super lovely stay! We ended up being late for check-in because of our flight being delayed. This was no problem at all, the manager sent us a message with a code to unlock our key for our room and details for breakfast the next day. The room was clean and cozy, loved waking up to the sound of nature and the beautiful nature outside, I want to go back now!”

”The price and location worked perfectly for us. It was wonderful to come back to some peace and quiet at the end of the day after being around So. Many. People. All day long. We had a private balcony overlooking a large lot where the kids played. It felt secluded even though it’s on a main road, walking distance to a bakery and coffee shop. The airport across the street was charming and we enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. Thank you to these great hosts!”

”Great, helpful and friendly staff!!! Great price and location. Only issues were very minor, and any issues that were addressable were immediately remedied. We were also aware before arriving that the pool is no longer available, although it is not physically removed as of yet. Note that it is a slightly older hotel, so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a ground floor room, since there is no elevator to the second floor. There is a small cafe room serving (in the morning) free...
