âThis was the nicest place we stayed on our 11 day trip this year. The staff was very welcoming and the "apartment" room was fully set up with a kitchen, refrigerator, wonderful bed and private bath. The parking was right outside and the owner herself welcomed and showed me the room. Hope to be by again someday!â

âI stayed for two nights in a modern cabin close to the beach, which I think they refer to as a "luxury cottage". Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room with kitchenette including a microwave and mini fridge. A simple but filling breakfast each morning at the main building was included in the price. Brilliant! I would stay here again.â
âWe loved our stay at the Sunset Cottage! It was one of our favorite places we stayed during our 10 days in Iceland. The cottage itself is located over a hill, several hundred meters away from the main buildings, and provides s lot of privacy. It was quiet and clean with wide open views of the countryside. We had breakfast on our last day ~$21USD/person), and it was great. We also ate at the restaurant onsite for several dinners so that we could enjoy the lovely waterfall view and delicious food....
âDid not receive the check in code and property manager was reluctant to assist. Not all rooms have a Mountain View (mine looked at another building). The room is small, as in the distance between the bed and one wall was about the side of a paperback book (~8 inches), another wall about 2.5 feet, and between the bed and third wall/bathroom about 3 feet. There is no closet, no place to put a suitcase. It's clean and functional. â

Short drive to Borgarnes and 1h to Vidgelmir's cave excurcion.
Sauna and bathtub were nice additions.
Breakfast was ok and the cost was about 20e.â

"Our room was nice and spacious, and had a coffee machine and a fridge. No breakfast included and no restaurant at the hotel, the guy at the reception was kinda rude when we asked about it, telling us we are at the city centre and can grab what we want from somewhere else. Otherwise the service was good. Location in the downtown was convenient but it can get a bit noisy at night because of the bars nearby."
"The rooms themselves are quite nice and recently renovated. No AC in the room, so it can get pretty hot if The windows open towards easr. The staff was helpful when necessary, but not too service-oriented. However, if your room is facing the square in front of the hotel, it is VERY NOISY during the weekends. Be prepared for waking at 4-5 AM to ruckus, drunken shouting and singing, even sirens. Thereâs little the hotel can do about it, but I have not slept this poorly in a long time. "

The breakfast had everything I wanted and more. The location was great. I like to take the stairs where possible and found a way to do so also at this hotel but the way was not very clearly marked - something to consider for sustainability and decreasing waiting times for lifts."
