”Really nicely presented hotel in a great location. 5 mins from train station and five mins from the town. Rooms on the smallish side, however the balcony helps as a place to relax. Very friendly and courteous staff so we recommend a stay if you are in the area.”

”Margaret and Martin are lovely people who made us feel more than welcome. Our room had a wonderful sea view and was well equipped. I would say that Hotels.com has titiled the Borthalan as a hotel but I personally think it is a B&B - but a lovely one.”

”The location was superb, room fantastic view however the hotel inside needs some tlc. The carpet inside the lift was worn, the dining room ceiling was patched up; in my room the tiles surrounding the bath needed re grouting, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling away in the corners and the furniture in my bedroom was shabby and required revarnishing and the paintwork in my room needed touching up and the window frames needed cleaning. The bed through was the nicest bed ever, so...
