”Beautiful setting with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. The house is charming, renovated, updated, clean, and comfortable. Great location for a family gathering to bike, visit the battlefield or visit Shepherdstown. Hosts went above and beyond to be sure we had all we needed. Would definitely stay again if in the area. ”

”Everything was great. We loved the flowers. I was checking out all the pictures and quilts. It stayed quiet, no traffic or fire calls. It was neat for sure.”

”Love this place! Clean, off the road a little, quiet area. She definitely made a smaller house feel like there’s a bit of room! Comfy king bed in one room (the other room had a queen bed which my son slept on). Nice size comfortable couch for the living room. ”

”Great location, fantastic activities - fishing, tubing on the river, hiking & family dinners. Grandkids had an excellent time. Mike is an awesome host. Our third stay at this house, says it all!”

”The inside of the house was very clean and very tastefully decorated. The view was out of this world! The one thing that we would like to note, is that prior guests left large dog poop on the balcony that was not cleaned up by the staff. In addition, there was a bag of dog poop left in front of the home. Everything else was excellent and we still appreciate it being dog-friendly.”

”Property, exactly as described, very clean, and well equipped. Great view of the lake from the porch and walking distance to an excellent coffee shop, pizza shop, and a subway. Very easy access to the lake crossing 219 and lake recreation rentals conveniently located across the street. Highly recommend and would definitely bring my family back here again. The host was easy to communicate with, check in and check out were a breeze.”

”Our family needed a weekend getaway that wasn't too far from our home but had the amenities we wanted - like a pool and a fire pit and nice views!We arrived to a cozy and clean 3 bedroom cabin. We had a week-long heat wave and the cabin's split AC unit seemed to work well under those circumstances. We brought our 4 small dogs - but had them caged 90% of the time since we could not trust them to not jump on the couch with us. We roasted smores on the fire pit, enjoyed the lower deck bar and...

”We loved our stay at the 1840 log cabin! The home itself was beautifully decorated, spotless, and just steps from the main strip—everything was within walking distance. Danny was a fantastic host, super friendly and responsive, and even let us check in early. Highly recommend!”
