”The location is fantastic for first time visitors. Everyone was pleasant and the view was amazing. The room was better than we ever expected. The two things that I didn’t like had nothing to do with The Whaler. One was ocean was so loud at night you couldn’t sleep with window open. That’s all mother nature at its purest. ”An older property that seems to have aged gracefully. We asked for a quiet room and were given one at the end of the hallway, and I think this was a lifesaver. There’s no noise cancellation of any kind and had we been closer to the elevators, it would have been impossible for js (admittedly rough sleepers) to sleep. ”Quiet and clean! Spent the week with my daughter and had such a wonderful vacation. Located on the west side of Maui, near so many sandy beaches and restaurants. Snorkeled at Black Rock beach and swam with the sea turtles and fish only found in Hawaii . The condo had a full kitchen that we used through-out the stay. We never ran out of things to do. ”A very underwhelming experience. A property whose glory days are behind it. We got a message a few days in advance that the air conditioning will be out of order until June. Not a big deal, but it left a sour taste that the attendant in check-in told us "I just heard that the air conditioniong in your room is out of order". Later we found out that also the laundry room and the gym were out of order as they had experienced a fire of the electricity system. Lack of transperency is...
