”The staff was very helpful. My Spanish is not good but they understood me fine. The manager/owner speaks very good English and is a real nice guy. He and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The place is only a few blocks from the beach and very affordable. No noisy bars just peace and quite. The place was clean and quite with great AC. You can use the kitchen to cook and they always have free drinking water available. Right next to a park and playground for kids and their prices can't be...

10. Tuani Lodge offers an affordable and unique experience of lodging in the wild.

Rancho Santana

”I recommend Tuani Lodge for nature lovers and those looking for a cabin-in-the-jungle experience. The road to get to the lodge is very dark, poorly marked, bumpy and uneven so a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and a lot of clearance would be best. We got a small bit of damage from driving in our small SUV. That being said, once you're on the highway it is not far from town and it is a very cool experience feeling so remote and close to nature. This is not the place for you if you are scared of bugs...

13. Oikea perheen hostelli, Hospedaje La Penita, 2 hengen huone

Altagracia

”Come here for authentic Nicaraguan lifestyle. Simple bedrooms, cold showers and Mom's cooking. Mark is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Mark hosts every meal and invited guides to inform us about hiking the volcanoes and arranged a 4-wheeler to come directly to the hostel which was very convient. Don't stay here if you are expecting luxury. Property is conviently located near Altagracia but removed enough from the tourist scene. Three adoabrle kittys made it even to harder to leave this...
