”There were four of us, with a BIT of luggage, so we took a taxi from the railway station. It's about 15 mins walk from the station to the guest house, so if you are backpaking it should not to be a problem. With heavy luggage take a taxi. We got two first floor rooms (the same floor where the reception is), I took a room looking on the miniscule yard, my friends had a street view - with a balcony! As there is double glazing, I shouldn't have worried about noise. The beds were firm enough, and...

”The Bailbrook Lodge is a very old, traditional hotel, shabby but spotlessly clean with lovely white linen. Our en suite had a rolltop bath. Rumour has it the room next to ours is haunted but we heard no noise whatsoever during our stay. As it is pretty close to the centre of Bath we got a taxi in and out to the sights rather than take the car. Staff were very friendly and I would recommend a stay here. ”We had a fantastic stay at The Dorian! The room was great and the breakfast was fantastic. They even supplied epsom salts for my wife's bath in the lovely soaker tub in our room. The neighbourhood was very nice and it was an easy walk into the city. Finally, the electric car charging setup was easy to use and very inexpensive. Hats off to Rosalind and the rest of the hotel staff!”

”Jane and Ged were fantastic: so friendly and welcoming, and the place is lovely. We stayed in the top floor room with the air conditioning due to the heat, and slept comfortably despite the hot weather. The bathroom was a little snug for my broad shoulders, but still fine. No breakfast Nov-May so can't comment on that, but they gave us some suggestions for other places to eat, which were all fantastic. "I had a great stay! The hotel building and atmosphere were truly amazing. The bedrooms from 12-17 got quite warm due to poor ventilation in the hallways, so that's something to be aware of. The gym was decent and the sauna, pool, and jacuzzi were a nice bonus. The breakfast was excellent, though the internet connection was a bit spotty. Despite a few minor issues, I would definitely stay here again."

"A really nice hotel in the heart of Bristol. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and tidy rooms with air conditioning. Beds are a tiny bit small for two people but for a short stay this didn’t bother us! If we’re coming back to Bristol for a weekend getaway we will definitely come back! "
