It's five minutes or so to downtown Lansing and it's great spots and about 15 or so to downtown West Jefferson. Easy to get to from Raleigh and Charlotte, where our group was coming from. ”Cute cabin right on Helton Creek. We enjoyed the hot tub on the porch listening to the water cascade over the rocks in the creek. We spent most of our time outside on the porch or exploring the creek. Really relaxing and peaceful. The owners were very quick to reply to our question regarding the hot tub. ”It was an awesome cabin in the woods. Everything was great, the beds were very comfortable. We had to walk down hill to the river which was a little steep. Overall, I’d love to stay here again. It’s the perfect spot for me because I love being in the mountains! You could sit out on the deck and watch people float down the river and just sit there and listen to the river and the mountains.
