”The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and of high quality. I slept really well and it was very quiet. I appreciated the shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. The thing I DIDNT LIKE was the check in process. I sent them 3 texts asking them how I check in with no response. I later found 4 emails from them...

”Great stay at Skyfall Guestrooms. There are only three guestrooms below the restaurant. The view to the river is very nice and it was great to watch the sun set. Only one thing which surprised and that was some noise from restaurant. Actually I had already fallen asleep and woke up to some noise coming from the restaurant but it stopped at around 11 pm.”

”The property’s location was convenient because it was close to the national park entrance. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the staff cooked a daily breakfast menu, which was great and of high-quality. It would have been helpful if a larger ice machine would have been on the premises, but that was minor. The view at sunrise and sunset was pretty. Overall, we enjoyed our quick stay!”

”The hotel is under new ownership. Main areas are clean and fresh looking. I’d booked a double room with river view. Tried calling before we arrived to ask if microwave in the room-1st time the call was just hung up on, I assumed it was an accident. Called back twice, no answer. We arrived about 8pm. ”Excellent location, clean and comfortable property, helpful and knowledgeable Staff, quiet location considering Highway 70 was very close by. Simple, newer decor, which was OK with me, not a "luxury" property, but very comfortable! I would stay here again.”

”Excellent service and the room was very comfortable. Only one other couple in the motel the second night so it was very quiet. ”

”Room was clean, cute, and pet-friendly. I had no issues with check in or with my room. Nice, safe area for hanging outside or talking a walk through town. Very quiet and quaint.”

”A charming place with a nice restaurant, which was unfortunately only open on weekends. Coffee, too, was only available on 2 of the 5 days I stayed there and Index itself has little or no other amenities. I would suggest they put small coffee stations in the rooms!”
