I rented this property for a month. The layout of the villa and the porch was excellent for privacy. 2 dipping pools made it wonderful to sit outside enabling us to move into shade as needed. The kitchen was well stocked. However, I encountered a number of serious issues and feel I must share must frustration about the lack of response by the host -owner. As an experienced traveller, I recognize that occasionally things don’t work. This host had hired a property manager to manage this property. She became seriously ill upon my arrival. The Owner failed to respond to some significant issues that forced me to contact a seriously ill person. I received no support to my concerns despite the owner knowing the property manager was ill. As a result, I was left with issues that took days to resolve that ruined my vacation for the first 10 days. These included septic gas smell in the villa, broken or leaking air conditioners in two bedrooms, pools not cleaned or properly maintained until Icomplained ,about, drains backing up, beaches left piled in seaweed that consumed the small beach, recycling and garbages that remained for three weeks. Eventually most of these issues were addressed. Communication was poor throughout and both the site and property management kept telling me the owner was not responsive. I found myself in the middle of this issues that was not mine to solved. The cleaning lady was lovely and the most help.I found VRBO was not helpful either. Disappointing!
