”Though I have historically loved the Marriott, my experience at Pleasanton, CA was subpar. The following were among the main unsatisfactory issues:
1. We were forced to take a queen bed, yet I had made a reservation for double beds
2. We were placed by an elevator and ice room despite our plea to be at a quiet wing
3. We found a live spider and millipede in our room
4. Our room was not cleaned on the day in which we moved the Do Not Disturb sign
5. The staff coordinating the breakfast was...

”We appreciated the quick grab breakfast options (hot breakfast options available for those with later flights) before hitting the shuttle to the airport. The shuttle runs frequently and takes less than five minutes door-to-door.

”The room was nice and comfortable but I booked two queen beds but they gave us a king bed with a pullout couch . Then we discovered that one of the tvs didn’t work.So I called the staff and they said they would send a technician but they never came. The breakfast was great but unfortunately there was no waffles. Overall it was a good stay and I think they just made a small mistake. So I would still recommend this hotel for most people.”

”Big room, great bed, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. Easy to park and move around, close to freeway. Neighborhood felt safe. The only downside was shower water, which was cold, but I'm not sure if the problem was only in our room since we never mentioned it to front desk. Overall great for the price. ”

”Very clean and new hotel building. Rooms are tight but clean and have fridge and microwave oven. Since located in downtown Oakland it can get quite busy in surroundings, though 11th street is somewhat calm area. My room windows were on the street side and it was pretty noisy during nights. If you wear ear plugs it is no big deal. I stayed 10 nights and my room wasn't cleaned for once. Breakfast is okay. Nothing fancy but you get what you need to start your day. I probably wouldn't stay here...
