Perfect apartment for a week of skiing

The apartment was great and on a perfect location. It’s possible to ski to the main lifts and ski storage is included in the building. The size of the apartment is good for 8 adults, it’s bigger than it looks on the pictures. It would not be comfortable with 10 adults, because of the small fourth bedroom with bunk beds. Receiving the key at arrival was easy, however it would be nice to receive the instructions in English. Communication with the host was very good.

Appartement bien situé par rapport aux pistes. Dommage qu’il faille passer par une agence qui n’est pas à proximité pour récupérer les clés et les déposer. Une boîte à clés ferait la même chose.

Appartement au pieds des pistes Pour accéder à l’appartement il faut prendre un long couloir de 300 m environ pour accéder aux ascenseurs, ensuite les prendre pour descendre jusqu’à l’appartement. Nous avons passé une semaine, l’immeuble est très bruyant (musique la nuit, bruits de déplacement de meuble etc …) nombreux jeunes adultes alcoolisés laissant leurs détritus n’importe où Au niveau de la location, elle est très bien située, conforme à la description, un wc avait un dysfonctionnement de la chasse d’eau (signalé à la propriétaire) et les précédents locataires étaient partis avec les clés des casiers à ski nous avons dû monter les ski ds l’appartement La station est très bien avec des cours esf adaptés et sécurisé dans un grand espace

Perfect location for VT skiing!

Great place to stay, absolutely ideal location for the slopes with very simple ski in/ ski out. The chalet was great, a bit small in the communal area for 8 adults to socialise, but worked fine. It is well equipped with good amounts of cutlery and crockery. Chalet was warm and always hot water in the three showers. It is at the lower end of VT so a bit of a walk up to the bars in the evening for those that wanted more than local apres ski. As in other reviews. The bunk bed room is too hot and has no windows or ventilation. We only had 2 adults in there, but there struggled to sleep well. We spent have any of the controllable heaters on, it is just the property controlled underfloor heating that can be changed. And the lifts are awful - not a problem for skiing in the morning as the boot room and skin out are only a walkable 1 floor down, but a real pain to get up the 7 floors to reception / the street and terrible at busy times. Overall, our key requirements for skiing have always been warmth, hot showers and easy to get in and out for skiing and it ticks all of these!

Great Apartment for 2 families

As 2 families (8 people in total) holidaying with teens this apartment was great. 2 bedrooms and bathroom facilities on each side of the living area meant each family had their own toilet/ shower. The sitting room/ kitchen were adequate to cater for everyone and there was plenty of seating at the table. The apartment has great storage for ski boots/ coats etc with loads of hooks and shelves. There are 3 ski lockers for the apartment a floor below (the apartment is 3 smaller apartments that has been converted into one larger apartment). The apartment itself was good and clean, beds comfy. Needs a bit of a freshen up of decor but the bathrooms are all newish and the showers are great with plenty of hot water.It is a long walk from the Reception area and several floors down in the lift BUT 1 floor down (2 minutes) to the ski locker and you are straight out onto the slopes.The apartment block itself is a bit shabby and the soundproofing between apartments is not great so you can hear other people move furniture etc and there seems to be a lot of rubbish thrown off balconies. There were a lot of groups of young adults staying but we were not disturbed much by them - no more so than we would have been by a family with small children.For the apartment and the skiing experience we would definitely consider returning.

Great location, OK apartment, no maintenance

Location of the apartment is great, truly ski-in/out. The lift is passing right by your windows and balcony. Mixed feelings about the apartment itself. 3 good size double bedrooms (2 of them with window/balcony), 3rd one has a small window from the enclosed shower area. The problem is with the 4th bedroom, which is really small and has 2 bunk beds and no windows. We had 4 adults staying there and that was not good. No space, no good air circulation, no windows, no closet space. This room might be OK for kids, but definitely not adults. The internet was not working when we arrived and it took us 2 days to figure it out how to connect to the box. We could not use the ski locker because (according to owner) previous family took a key and it was not available. The tea pot was broken and not usable. One of the toilets was leaking and had a water puddle on the floor our entire stay. I have been in contact with owner about this issue multiple times during our stay but nothing was done. I did get a call from plumber company eventually on Friday (our last night) saying the plumber will stop by at 6-7pm - I said NO. It was our last night and we did not want a plumber there before we leave. Also this issue was known to host prior to us coming because the was a piece of cloth laying under toilet collecting water. One more thing to be aware of specially if you're coming from US and not used to that. Apartment does NOT come with any sheets, linens or towels! No toilet paper either!

The apartment is very well located at the bottom of the runs through VT and ski in ski out is easy. The views from the apartment are of the slopes and a chair lift pass's right past. The apartment is very typical of a Ski resort, lots of wood, a little old but very warm and the seating is comfortable. The wifi didn't work correctly and the TV signal is terrible. This did make the kids play cards so not a bad thing in the end as they had to talk to each other and the adults as well. The Dinner table is nice and big and can seat 14 so meal times was fine but the induction hob is not as it keeps going off during cooking and this is very frustrating when cooking dinner. The restaurant in the hotel is good to eat in or with takeaways and there is a supermarket and ski shop all in house. The beds are fine and the showers are ok. lots of warm water. There are 3 double bedrooms and one room with 4 bunk beds, one double room has a shower area but no view of the piste, then two more shower rooms and two toilets so after a hard days skiing its easy to get changed and cleaned up. The reception area and building is very busy on change over days so plan your visit to arrive as early as you can, park up and go skiing if needed. There are push trolleys behind the reception desk, left hand side, so track one down to make your life a bit easier getting to the apartment. Head towards the lifts on the right hand side of the reception, up the slope and about a 2 mins walk to the lift doors. Reception is at the top of the hotel, floor L, the apartment is on floor E. The apartment block can be noisy with younger people playing music above and getting in late, but at 10pm they must stop and If they don't the police come round and make them. We did come across this and the police were already on it. We are happy to book again and VT is a cracking ski resort. We didn't get a 3 valles pass as there is a lot of skiing in VT and down to Les Menuires but we did upgrade two days to go Meribel and area 43 Ski Park. VT is not tree lined due to the altitude so can feel a little bleak when at times. Over all, spot on and 4 out of 5.

Val Thorens in de zomer is prachtig, maar er was wel veel gesloten. Het is duidelijk een wintersport oord. Het appartement ligt op een rustige plek. Het was ruim genoeg voor onze groep (7 personen).

Bastante bien en general, apartamento excelente ubicación, ski-in/out, pero falta 2ª juego de llaves

La estancia ha sido muy agradable, cocina totalmente equipada (incluso con 2 tipos de cafeteras), duchas y aseos nuevos, a la entrada hay una zona para dejar todo el material de esquí, bastante limpio en general (en alguna ducha no drenaba bien el agua y una cafetera estaba sucia y con café dentro a nuestra llegada), pero en general, todo correcto. El par de problemas (por el que no se llevan 5*) es por la falta de un segundo juego de llaves, no puede ser que siendo 8 (en un apartamento de 11 pax), tengamos UN SÓLO JUEGO de llaves, tuvimos que estar esperando varios de nosotros a veces hasta 1h para que volviera el compañero con la llave, una perdida de tiempo nuestra constante diariamente (y eso que fuimos 3 veces a las oficinas a reclamarlas y también por teléfono a la agencia), lo que más apetece tras estar esquiando es darse una ducha caliente y no estar esperando en el rellano donde el ascensor, ya que siempre hay distintos niveles de esquí entre el grupo y unos vuelven antes que otros. En 7 días, no pudieron resolvernos el problema haciendo un duplicado, mala gestión por parte de la agencia/propietaria. El revisor del piso (cuando llego el momento de irnos) fue demasiado estricto, nos mandó limpiar cosas que ya estaban sucias a la llegada, tales como pelusas grandes (que no se generan en 6 días en un piso, bajo las camas, sofá, etc..) limpieza de bandejas del horno (el cual no usamos)... Pero el piso, repito, de 10! Espacioso y muy cómodo para 8 personas! Recomendable al 100% (pero dar un segundo y un tercer juego de llaves, por favor!!!!)

L'appartement est parfait à niveau situation, espace, confo...On y était à 11 et pas de problème! Seulement 2 "problèmes": Pour le checkout il y a eu une confusion avec le nettoyage avant partir (on a dû laisser l'appart absolument clean pour les prochains clients), et la remise de la caution a pris pas mal de temps.... Appart ça, absolument recommandé!

Un court séjour super

Nous ne sommes restés que du 13 au 16 juillet 2017, mais nous avons pleinement apprécié cette location. Un appartement très bien restauré, très fonctionnel pour une famille ou des amis(es). Nous ne pouvons que recommander cette location, où petits et grands prendront beaucoup de plaisir dans un très belle station.

Très bel appartement

Très bel appartement. Très bien équipé. Un peu plus d espace de rangement aurait été sympa. Emplacement idéal par rapport aux pistes. Contrairement aux critiques concernant le bruit ds la résidence nous n avons pas eu de soucis. Nous y retournerons bien volontiers.

Location superbe, idéalement placée

L'appartement est SUPERBE, situé sur les pistes pour les accès ESF c'est top ! La location est très bien meublée et équipée, de l'espace pour tout le monde, nous étions 9 et c'était vraiment parfait !!! Un super séjour à Val Thorens, une station vraiment très vivante et très agréable, nous repartirons dans cette station et si possible dans cette location. Propriétaire très agréable et à l'écoute. Encore merci !

Appartement rénové, dommage la residence

L'appartement est assez spacieux et bien équipé. Pour être à son aise, 10 personnes au maximum! Bien équipé, chauffage parfait. Une des douches n'évacuait presque pas ou très lentement. Idéalement situé: Au pieds des pistes mais dans une Residence très bruyante, assez sale et pleine de jeunes alcoholiques. Le parcours pour arriver à l'appartement depuis l'entrée est long et pour porter tous les bagages c'est un inconvénient. Absence de wifi, l'appareil nous demandait un code que nous n'avons pas réussi à avoir. Des deux casiers a ski, un seul était disponible: un handicap pour mettre tous les skis et bâtons! Nous avons dû en monter dans l'appartement. Val Thorens une superbe station où nous reviendrons mais dans un quartier plus tranquille. C'est vraiment dommage que l'appartement soit dans cette Residence.

Well equipped, spacious apartment

A fantastic little apartment! If you get nothing else from this review, then know that I have given it 5 stars for good reason, it was spacious, comfortable and well equipped Now for the longer review: Bear in mind that we are a group of 12 students traveling on a relatively small budget! Pro's: -Easily sleeps 12 -Comes with dishwasher, and lots of cooking accessories like 2 8-person grills for breakfast, multiple coffee makers, good oven + microwave -Can seat >12 people, the table folds out to almost twice its size, and along with the sofa and stools we managed to get 18 people (us + 6 guest) around for dinner, and it was comfortable. There was also cutlery and plates for this number! -Dishwasher makes the evenings so much easier -Not all cramped in, 3 separate double rooms, with plenty of space, as well as a bunk room for 4 which would be perfect for kids if you are a family. -Large area by the door for 12 skiis and boots, and plenty of cupboard room to store other things like food + helmets -Everything is very modern. It feels homely, not like some others where the bear minimum is done. Con's -Small room gets quite hot at night if the heating is on since it doesn't have a window -Lifts in complex are awful (take up to 5 mins to come!) and we had problems with drunk people being loud and trying to open our door at night That second point is a little unfair as it is nothing to do with the apartment, more the complex itself. But it is something to keep in mind if you are a family unit and are looking for a quiet accommodation. For young adults and groups of friends who want to take part in the nightlife, it is fine. Other points. If you arrive late you need to pick up the keys from a safe. To get there from the temples du soleil, exit the apartment and head uphill, passing a sport 2000, and going under a apartment block that covers the road. there is a frozen fountain about 50m further up the road on the left. turn left here and go inside a public lift complex. take the lifts up and walk along the walkway, past a large turning circle and up a flight of stairs into the main shopping center, with a spar and a swimming pool in it. follow the shopping centre through to the other side, where it exits to the street. directly opposite there is the 'orange skii shop' this is where you pick up the keys, from either a safe (if late) or a man inside. I hope that helps anyone who is confused about where to get keys.
