”The city of Manosque isn't really worth a visit - I chose it thinking it was central to the lavender fields and close to the L'Occitane factory (I call it the Poughkeepsie of Provence...). I thought it would be a good idea to have a cheap hotel in the pedestrian section of town but what I hadn't taken into consideration is that the high cost of parking our rental car made this "budget" hotel more expensive than the Ibis on the outskirts of town. If I had it to do over I wouldn't stay at this...

Our room was cosy, the attention to details given to the fixtures and fittings of the room was exceptional and gave a very luxurious Provençal touch.
Although the staff was happy to reserve a table for us at the highly rated Ducasse restaurant, we didn’t not dine there, however it is a significant plus to top up the luxurious Provençal experience.
We enjoyed spending time by the pool although it would have been more enjoyable...
