”I thought I was in heaven!!!”

”It's a Super 8 ;) But for the area, if you want affordable, we have stayed here many times. Always feel safe and the staff is welcoming. It was hard to rate ammenities because there really aren't any other than breakfast. I was shocked to realize they don't even have an elevator. Not that we needed it but still. It is RIGHT next to the Blue Gate for concerts or plays if you are in town. Very pet friendly as well.”

”The property could have been taken care of a little better, lots of weeds in the flower beds in the parking lot. The pool was out of service every day of my stay except Saturday and it was ice cold. The black out curtains in my room had many holes and could have been replaced. The hotel was quiet and I slept well. Breakfast was good, lots of choices and kept stocked.”

”Breakfast both days were not available. Suppose to open at 7 am , doors were locked, no one would respond. On second day we asked the night before if there was something we could take to the room for breakfast the next morning and were told NO. Simply not accommodating staff.”

”When we arrived, we were told we had been upgraded. The property is very outdated and the carpet doesn’t look clean. We had 2 nonsmoking rooms and both had terrible smells. One smelled like cigarettes and the other had an extremely strong odor that resembled vinegar. The TV didn’t work. We asked to change rooms and were accommodated, but those rooms had a super strong smell also, like someone dumped multiple bottles of Febreeze. We asked to have the second night refunded, but were told that...

”The staff are very nice people. The parking is great and the bed is comfortable. But the AC, at least in room 149, is too loud to permit sleep. The bathroom fans are also very loud - loud enough that the fan from the room above was disturbing. So if you want a nice staff and a nice overall hotel, this is an option. But if you want to sleep, stay well away from room 149.”

”The staff was kind and attempted to be helpful, but our room had a horrible smoke and mildew smell. The staff was eventually able to move My room, but the replacement room still smelled bad. The floors were dirty (like had not been mopped in a very long time). It just felt rundown and not super clean.”

”The room smelled somewhat musty or smoky like most cheap rooms until we had the A/C running long enough. The bedding was clean. We were staying as we did a long drive home across the country, so it was decent enough to sleep in for a night and wake up the next day. The check in process seemed like it took forever considering I’d already reserved online and paid.”

Unfortunately, there was severe weather and we had to delay our trip a day. When I asked if we'd be able to get a refund for one day, I got no response from the property manager. However, we accidentally took a book from the cottage and when we texted Todd, he responded immediately and was very helpful in how to return the book. The weather did not cooperate for...
