From the walkway in front of my lanai, which overlooks the pools and has an ocean view, it is 150 paces to the sand of the beach.
The location is mesmerizing. A short 2 1/2 mile drive from the airport, you turn 'makai', ocean side, through a quarter mile arched arbor of Banyan trees and enter the oceanfront world of the OUTRIGGER Kaua'i Beach Resort, a richly remodeled, Plantation Style, 4 star resort. This is a privately owned condominium within the Resort with fully use of the Resort amenities.

Resort use and access amenities include:
Front Desk and Bell Desk check-in services.
Wristband identifiers allowing you access to: the sand bottom beachfront pool, supervised 75' corkscrew pool slide, swimming pools with waterfall features, a water volleyball pool, two heated spas in grotto areas, outdoor tiki bar and lounge and, of course, access to a 3 mile sand beach and ocean.
Access to the resort's restaurants, bar and lounge, beauty spa, hair salon, fitness room and gym, high speed wi-fi internet access throughout the resort and your apartment, a sundries and convenience store with a Starbucks franchise and ATM, a desktop computer access business center (if you must), concierge services for resort and island dining, excursions and tour reservations. (Strongly advised, you must have reservations for the popular restaurants, entertainment and tours available on the island).
For Clarity:
An Administration fee for front desk services and enhanced security services of $105 per stay is included with your payment to VRBO.
A cleaning fee of $125 is included with your to payment to VRBO.
YOUR VRBO PAYMENT DOES NOT INCLUDE:
There is a parking concession of $40 per night + tax, payable to the Resort, by you, at check out.
All your personal charges for activities, parking, food & beverage services, dining and poolside purchases, group resort classes, et cetera are payable to the Resort, by you, at checkout.
Smoking... of any kind, is prohibited . Smoke in the designated outdoor areas ONLY.. There is a $200 to $500 cleaning charge to remediate smoke odor.
The Resort apartments are not designed to vent cooking fumes. Cooking in the apartment is prohibited, a fire code violation, subject to nuisance eviction.
