![St. John the Baptist Parish Church (Filipino: Simbahan ng Parokya ng San Juan Bautista), also known as Liliw Church or Lilio Church, is one of the Roman Catholic churches in Liliw, Laguna, Philippines. Its feast is celebrated every August 29 known as the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist. The church is known for its red bricked façade and baroque style architecture. The current parish priest is Father Marciano Dijan
The church has three retablos or altars finished in gold leaf. The retablo mayor (main altar) at the center contains thirteen niches across four levels housing statues of saints.[7] At the center of the lowest level contains the tabernacle. The two minor retablos on each side houses four niches of saints. Originally, these two minor retablos were dedicated in honor of the town's second patron, San Buenaventura and San Antonio de Padua. ”Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Two small points to know. First, there was no inside the hotel food service since the restaurant was closed due to Covid. Hotel staff was very nice and ordered food from outside which was delivered. The next day, they ordered food from Jollibee. Second, we invited our daughter to join us for a swim at the super nice pool. The hotel allowed her to enter; however, we paid 500 pesos for her to visit from 0800-1700 to swim. ”Great are, comfortable rooms, stayed for a Wedding at Maria Paz, if in the area I would stay again, breakfast was excellent, but since we were a large group, it was worth the wait. Was able to watch the Super Bowl, a big plus ”
