”I’m a professional cleaner and usually see everything everywhere I go, this facility was beautifully kept up. The staff was soo helpful going out of their way to even find us ziplock bags for our tubing trip ! Amazing stay all the way around! Ps the kitchen even has trays they will give you to take food back to the room if you’d rather eat there .”

”We got to the motel around 8 PM Saturday night 5/16. I told the front desk that we were there to check in and made our reservations via Expedia. She asked me to give her my driver's license and I did. She looked at my license and told us we could not stay there because we lived to close to the motel. We said you got to be kidding! She said no that they have problems with local people staying there and creating problems where they have to call the cops. We live in Banner Elk which is about 50...

”This place has a pretty view if your room is on the front side. There is no air in this facility which was not stated up front. It wasn't that hot when we were there so it was fine. There are fans in the closet. Beds weren't that comfortable and there was no coffee on Sunday. Overall our stay was good but this facility could certainly use some updating.”

”The place is beautiful and tucked into the woods. I recommend taking a screenshot of the instructions while you have cell service since it cuts in and out when you're that deep in the hills. You have wifi in the room which is great. Loved the property! There's a community kitchen in the lodge for all your cooking needs.”

”This might be my new favorite place to stay!! It has been beautifully restored, employs friendly and helpful staff and provides the thickest bath towels ever!!! I appreciated the extra touches such as soft pillows in addition to the firm ones on the bed, a noise machine by the bed and a fridge, iron and ironing board in my room!! The bathing products in the shower were excellent and the complimentary breakfast buffet offered hearty, healthy and grab and go options. I look forward to staying...
