BED BUGS AND GASLIGHTING – AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I stayed at JAM Lisbon and woke up covered in bed bug bites. I immediately informed the staff, who moved my room and “treated” my luggage—clear signs they knew the issue was real. Yet they later denied responsibility, suggested it might be from my flight, and claimed their smart sensors detected nothing. Classic deflection.
This was not a minor inconvenience. It was an infested room, ruined sleep, anxiety about bringing bugs home, and no accountability. They refused a refund, offered a free breakfast instead, and gaslit me by implying I imagined the bites.
Disgraceful customer service, zero responsibility, and a patronizing follow-up email. Do not trust this hotel. Do not stay here. You’ve been warned.
