Beautiful historic spacious place with artistic touches. We loved our time here, especially on the balcony with morning coffee and evenings with wine. The view with its sweeping vista is spectacular. Bed was comfy and all was impeccably clean. Would move to Lisbon but only if we could live in Estelle's apartment :) Very high recommendation from us!

Wonderful apartment that has been very well maintained and preserving the character of the building. Great terrace with awesome views! There is a learning curve to figuring out access, but Estelle was very responsive in helping us through the initial process. Would stay there again and highly recommend!

A Perfect Spot to Explore and Enjoy Alfama!

This location is in a perfect spot to walk to the majority of attractions you have on your list while in Lisbon, the majority of which are all within a 20-minute walk. An added bonus of the location allowed us to stop back in the apartment during the hotter times of day to take a break and cool off. The comfort of the apartment and view made taking the break enjoyable and added a nice relaxing note to our vacation.We were there at the end of June, so not only was the view from within the balcony amazing, but the apartment is situated just up the hill from some beautiful Jacaranda trees that were in bloom.Estelle was an excellent host; if we ever make it back to Lisbon, we'd plan on staying here again!

Plenty of space, nice kitchen, clothes washer was helpful. Beautiful patio overlooking the harbor and neighborhood, which we couldn’t use due to record rain! Would definitely go back!

GREAT SPACE IN ALFAMA

This is a comforable and hip apartment, perfect for a couple. the neighborhood is safe and quiet, but restaurants, coffee shops, transportation is close.There is a grocery store (Pingo Doce) at the end of the street. The kitchen was well equipped and airy, but the big appeal is the terrace. The view looks out on Corcovado, the river, the bridge, the Cathedral and the Praca do Commercio. Magnficent at night and sunset.I would gladly return.

A great place to stay in a great area

This apartment has been beautifully decorated. You will love the high ceilings, the light, the views. If you like history, you will love the location, it's between the cathedral, the fort and the ruins of the Roman theatre. It's also easy to walk down the hill to Pingo grocery store, to shopping and restaurants in Baixa and to the river. About a 15-minute walk to the famous Santa Justa elevator to Chiado. Going east is Alfama, the oldest neighbourhood. In other words, there is something of interest in every direction. Also, the apartment is very quiet. I would stay here again.

Perfection!

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment… So stylish and well set up with everything we needed, in the best area, and of course with the magical terrace and views! Waking up to the birds singing in the trees and feeling like we were in nature even though this is the middle of the best part of Lisbon was just incredible. Totally perfect for us!

Old Portuguese Charm

Great old, Portuguese-style place, beautifully decorated. Place looks like the photos. Quiet location, great views, and very walkable to sites and restaurants. Big bookshelf of wonderful resources—tour books, guides, restaurant books, etc. Loved sipping wine on the spacious deck. Place smelled and looked clean with the exception of the bathroom which had black mold around the sink and shower stall.

We love this apartment

My wife and I stayed here for over a month, it is probably our favorite vacation rental of many, many. Great views from every room. You see the Cathedral while sitting on the couch. The Roman Theater is just a few doors away. The whole apartment is beautiful, but kitchen terrace is special, particularly at sunset with the sailboats on the river, the starlings and then the bats swirling through the courtyard, the lights of the city and the bridge coming on. It is located in the ancient Alfama neighborhood, but even though it is right in the action, it is very quiet and peaceful as the apartment itself is up a hill and does not face the street. The owner Estelle was a pleasure, she always responded promptly to any questions. One thing to know if you do not like to walk or have mobility limitations, it is near the top of a hill and is a walk from any public transit. But a car can drive right to the front door as well and there is street parking. We loved ending our days with the lovely walk, the hill is not difficult, and it is one reason why the apartment is so quiet and peaceful but just something to know about. For us, it could not have been better, we did not want to leave. We own an apartment in Lisbon and will still want to come back and stay here!
