”Hotel staff were lovely and helpful, we had a lovely meal in the river room which was turkey and ham so delicious. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Our room was excellent a standard twin with two big double beds, the room was super clean. The fridge was great to keep drinks cool. The staff work so hard and are a credit to the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. The reception was a lovely smell when you arrive. The only thing which was disappointing was the horrendous smell in the ladies...

”Well communicated contactless check in, beautiful property and rooms, cute little town, and the breakfast was good! Coffee was great, Charlie makes a great flat white! Parking can be a little bit of a nuisance, and like many historical properties no elevator so if you need help with your luggage plan ahead as the property is not always staffed. Lovely. Also Forrest Park is not to far down the road if you would like a lovely walk around the lake. the Parson's Nose is quite good as a dinner option...

”The room was clean, and the place is alright. But 2 issues: My room had an electric shower and it didn’t work right. Same low pressure whether the knob is on low, eco, or high. And the water temperature swings were insane: it kept alternating between freezing and burning every 10-15 seconds.
And then the second point was the mattress; not exactly comfortable. If this was a hostel or a two-star hotel, I wouldn’t complain.
But this is meant to be a four-star hotel… I had a “luxury room” that...
