We stayed in the Civil War Stone House. An amazing home and absolutely wonderful accommodations! The host was extremely welcoming and helpful with communications that were beyond what we ever expected. The location is perfect- along a rural road and close to all of the Gettysburg attractions. House, kitchen, dining areas and bedrooms were all spacious and clean. We hosted a catered dinner for 18 and all went well.Tom instantly answered all of our questions and visited to show us how to turn on fireplaces in rooms where we wanted supplemental heat during a cold and windy weekend.

Our stay at Tom’s property was absolutely wonderful! The home itself is beautifully decorated with Gettysburg history. Every room has thoughtful touches that make you feel connected to the area’s past while still enjoying modern comforts. The property is stunning, surrounded by peaceful countryside where we spotted many deer right outside!It’s also in the perfect location, just a short drive to shops, restaurants, and the museums of downtown Gettysburg. You really get the best of both worlds: the quiet, scenic beauty of nature and the convenience of everything Gettysburg has to offer.Tom was an excellent host! Friendly, informative, and clearly takes pride in making sure his guests have a great experience. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gettysburg!

Amazing historic house. We stayed in the Stone house. Large bedrooms and each with own bathroom. Kitchen well stocked. The barn housing is down the drive away from stone house. We were given a tour, amazing property also. Suited for a smaller group or combined with stone house gives you 5 bedrooms. The wax figures surprised us even though looking back they are in photos. Nice touch. We love history so this was perfect. We were in area for a wedding and got to explore Gettysburg.

The entire home is beautifully maintained. Kitchen is equipped with dishes, but would suggest non breakable dishes or glasses be taken if needed for young children. Tom was a wonderful host and very willing to share his knowledge of home and Gettysburg

We loved staying in this historic Civil War era stone home. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfortable. We were intrigued by the wax Civil War figures which my husband had seen in a museum in Gettysburg as a 10-year-old. The host was helpful and very kind.

Very deceiving description

The property was old out of date very dirty pool was falling apart. The pictures made it seem it was in good condition and the house was right next to the pool and it was not! Had to spend an hour getting a tour and hearing about Gettysburg and him remolding stuff that we did care about. House was dirty out of date nothing really worked and feel like we were deceived about the property. Would not recommend staying there at all no privacy dirty house and out of date!

Resting in history

This property was perfect for rest and relaxation. It was awesome to go and experience the history of Gettysburg. Everyday we were able to see deer. Tom is a very gracious host.

Farmhouse getaway.

Stayed in the house and barn. Group of 9, 2 kids 5 and 6.Tom did a wonderful job laying out the spaces and extensive history of the farm and stone house (1/2 mile away). We had a wonderful family time. Would highly recommend this listing with history, activity spaces and farm landscapes at your fingertips. Spectacular property,Thanks Tom.
