”Fabulous new B & B recently opened. Olivia & Matt are lovely hosts and very welcoming. Breakfast is delicious and top quality fruit juices served in individual bottles unlike cheap juices served in many places. Our room was large and comfortable with a generous hospitality tray and large kettle. Soft fluffy towels. Ideal location for touring. Well definitely return.”

”Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village.”

”This would be a reasonable budget option if not for the mattresses. The springs were completely shot and either very old or very cheap. Everything else was decent if they could manage that simple fix”

”On the plus side I thought the staff were very helpful. Our evening meal was acceptable, typical 'pub grub' if I can call it that. However our room was totally unacceptable, small, dishevelled and grubby. The carpet was very worn, a crack in the wash basin, a window which could not be opened and a mattress which emphasised the springs above comfort. Perhaps it was my fault when booking but I thought the room was en suite but access to bathroom was outside our room. This room certainly needs...

”Welcoming, professional and friendly team. Dealt with an electrical issue in my room quickly and without fuss whilst I enjoyed a complimentary drink in the cosy bar. Excellent food. 10 minute walk to the beautiful lake. Really enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again.”

”Property and car park was very easy to find, had plenty of instructions on how to get to the property and gain entry well in advance Hotel itself is small and cosy room was well maintained and very clean, bed and bedding was clean and comfy and bathroom was well stocked We had a lovely stay here.”

”For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location.”
