As we arrived Halloween weekend we thought the dust and cobwebs in the room were part of the theme. 👻 The carpet around the bed and doors hadn’t been hoovered for months. ”Beautiful setting right on the river with a very friendly staff team and clean and well appointed rooms.
It’s not luxurious but everything is thought through and it’s clean.
Mattress on the bed was a bit worn - I could feel the springs a bit, so that could do with a replacement but it was a generally really comfortable and relaxed stay.
Food was very good - very nice cooked breakfast and I had one evening meal which was very generous.
As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable and the staff...

”Fantastic hotel and pub, very cosy and set in a fab location. The room we stayed in was delightful, very large with great amenities. Food was very tasty and the breakfast was plentiful and hot with a good variety of continental and hot breakfast items to choose from (full English including veggie option). Great to have onsite parking too. Will definitely be back thanks!”
