”Super friendly staff that always greeted us with a smile. Always helpful. Easy check in process. The room was clean, in excellent condition, and nicely laid out. Only minor gripe was the somewhat weak shower pressure… Would be nice if they offered some sort of continental breakfast option, or if the attached Recess restaurant served breakfast throughout the week.”

In the morning, when they brought us the car, the left side of the car was very scratched, they promised to contact us in almost 2 months, but unfortunately, this matter is not moving. The manager only sent us a complaint number and said that some other department should write gmail to us, but we did not receive any gmails.When we asked to view the cameras, they were told that they only have one...

”The hotel is not new and it is not old. It has a classic feel, and polished. The two adjoining restaurants were good options to just roll down to the lobby and dine. I would stay again.”

Valet parking list price is a bit high, but look for hotel deal including valet for good value. Bed comfort and totally quiet air condition especially well above average. ”

”Booked a room for an overnight before heading to the coast. We had a wonderful meal at the lobby restaurant and the gentleman who served us was so accommodating ! Room was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the Starbucks in room coffee. We had a few hours to kill in Portland and the staff graciously allowed us to store our luggage in a secure spot. I would certainly book another stay at the Benson. Location was perfect and allowed us to walk to the rail to access our next destination as well...

”Very nice room and great location. Views were gorgeous and bed was very comfortable. The location was great for walking around town. Had to ask the front desk to send someone to pick up room service trays in the hall - there were 4! Overall would recommend”

”Music plays until midnight, but you know this going in. The only really annoying thing is the room cards demagnetize very easily. I was carrying it in my pocket next to a credit card and it stopped working. Both mine and my girlfriends failed. They need to get a better system, rather than blaming us for having it next to something magnetic. Never had this issue at any other hotel.”
