Sorry for your disappointment regarding mini-fridge & microwave. Our cabins are small & rustic, so most do not have them. Just Cabin 8 and Lewis & Clark have a mini-fridge & microwave. We have a full-service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, & dinner daily. Hope you enjoyed your stay!

Sorry to hear that you experienced field mice in your cabin during your stay. We do have a thorough proactive pest control program in place for mosquitos, wasps, yellow jackets, squirrels, bats, and mice; However, given our location in the forest – we can never eliminate wildlife completely. It’s a constant & daily process, but it comes with the territory here….. We welcomed the recent rains, since they helped put out the forest fires in the area, but the forest wildlife love to seek shelter in the lodge & cabins when we get shifts in weather. Sorry you were disappointed in your recent visit.I can assure you that we do not have an infestation nor do we have cleanliness issues. A few field mice got in and for that, we apologize; However, your review was a bit harsh and the vast majority of people understand that being in a remote densely forested mountainous location with historic & rustic cabins from 1929 - that wildlife is quite common. From deer & elk outside the cabins to an occasional bat, squirrel, or mouse that gets inside.

We understand that you may have been upset before you even arrived at the lodge due to some US Forest Service trail closures. The lodge is open 365 days a year, regardless of weather conditions & trail closures. We cannot control what the US Forest Service does and we have links on the website for fire activity & weather activity in the area so visitors can find the information they're seeking. The lodge team was fully staffed this summer with a wonderful group of people. Sorry to hear that your interactions weren't positive. We are the only restaurant on a very remote 150 mile stretch of US Hwy 12. Sometimes in the summer we get sudden & heavy influxes of visitors from campgrounds in the area, which causes the restaurant to have a wait list and/or limited menu. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sorry you were disturbed while utilizing the shower house, that should not have happened. We apologize. Sorry to hear about the WiFi in the main lodge, it usually works quite well - even though it is Satellite based WiFi. Odd, it must have been down when you tried to connect. Sorry about that!

The lodge descriptions on Hotels.com and on the lodge main website clearly state that we are not located in the town of Lolo, that we simply have a Lolo Montana address. Lochsa Lodge is a rustic mountain lodge, we've never had A/C since 1929. Night temperatures, even in the heat of summer, drop well below 50 degrees at night for a cool comfortable sleep with fresh mountain air. Sorry we weren't what you were looking for and didn't meet your expectations.
