”If you're an experienced traveler this hotel would rate above a hostel. I didn't notice the rating before booking but once there it explains the rating. It's a nice quiet place but, there wasn't a phone in the room and the rickety stairs had me worried coming and going. The bedding looked to be a couple years old but, it was clean. The front office staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with a small issue we ran into. It was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to our next stay.”

”Our room faced the Main Street and while we were concerned about the noise (especially when we discovered the earplugs provided by the hotel), it wasn’t loud at all! ”This is our second stay at the National Hotel. The property is charming and historic; however, both times, the staff have been unfriendly and seemed bothered by simple requests. We were not alone in the process.”
