”I can't say enough about this house and property. Only 20 minutes from downtown Hickory it truly felt like we were "out of town".....our Charleston friends loved it! So much so, that one said they would love to live there (as a Hickory resident, me too!!) Just around the corner is the sandbar marina where you can gas up your lake vessels, grab food, drinks and if wine is your thing, a pretty good selection for sale there. ”This property was everything we were hoping for for our family stay. We (from SC) met with family from Ohio and Maryland over Thanksgiving. Kitchen had all the dishes needed to cook and served a traditional thanksgiving meal. There was plenty to do on property for the variety of ages that stayed. Only negative comment, the outlets in the living room kept tripping the breaker, but host was very communicative in helping resolve the issue.”

”This was our second year staying at Splendor on the Lake and yet again we loved it. While there are a few things around the house that could use updating (some lighting and patio furniture) the house is extremely comfortable, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. Can’t beat the location and the private beach area and docks are outstanding. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.”
