”Elegant and a very beautiful super large villa with excellent maintenance. Very clean and comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms . Natural showers are something unique. Sea-bath was fantastic. The karaoke facility was a pleasant surprise and it was such good fun after dinner, which gave great entertainment to our small group . Breakfast was fabulous. Our stay was 5 star. Amazing place. Highly recommended .”

”Our stay at Maya Tangalle Manor was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is wonderfully quiet, with elegant décor and a beautiful room that opened onto a private patio. ”Family were beautiful and accommodating The house is great and perfect for a long term stay Shops a restaurants are around a 15 minute walk away but once you start walking you are likely to walk pas a free tuk tuk you can jump in I stayed with my 3 year old daughter and it was perfect Pool is great, house facilities are great. ”Good parts. Location for beach, size of axcomodation, privacy, quite modern. Bad parts.. paid for breakfast NO BREAKFAST!!! NO WIFI AT ALL!!! NO HOT WATER AT ALL!! Then there was other things that it said the accomodation had but wasnt there...ie desk, slippers, bottled water. Worst of all the accomodation is next door to a temple that has chanting through a loud speaker starting at 05.30am and lasts about 45 minutes. This is repeated at 6pm....very loud.”

”I can’t recommend this place enough! Great communication with Eric all the way through, we came a bit late, and before we could order our meals over email and it was ready. Great WiFi! Evening watching fireflies in the dark. The food both breakfast and dinner was delicious. Eric also helped book our safari trip witch was terrific!”

"Hyvällä paikalla sijaitseva hotelli. Rannalla merenkäynti oli kova, mutta kävelymatkan päässä ranta, missä voi snorklailla, /uida huoletta, maata aurinkotuoleilla ja ravintoloitakin löytyy. Henkilökunta oli ystävällisiä ja avuliaita. Huone oli hyvin varusteltu ja viihtyisä. Suihkustakin tuli lämmintä vettä ja vedenpaine oli hyvä. Suosittelemme."

"I had an absolutely wonderful three-night stay at Surf n Spice in Hiriketiya. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top notch—every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. One of the things I loved most is that the hotel is locally owned and run by a group of friends. Supporting local businesses is important to me, and you can truly feel the care and passion they put into the place. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities you need for a relaxing stay, including a comfy bed, air conditioning, and warm water in the shower. Simple, clean, and exactly what you need after a day at the beach. The food was excellent throughout my stay, with the grilled butter fish being a standout—absolutely delicious and highly recommended! Breakfast was also a highlight: each morning you can choose an item from the brunch menu, and the options were fantastic. I tried three different dishes over my stay, and every single one was great. A special mention goes to the hotel’s two adopted dogs, Surf and Spice—they were incredibly adorable, friendly, and added so much charm to the stay. The location is perfect—peaceful and calm, yet ideally situated between Dikwella Beach and Hiriketiya Beach, making it easy to enjoy both. Overall, I’m very happy I chose Surf n Spice and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others."
