”We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. My husband and I actually woke up cold in the morning, so we were just fine. I couldn't believe how clean the tent itself was. They had special touches like robes, luxury bath towels, and fantastic smelling shampoo and...

”My best friend and I stayed here with our four kids (17 and 13 and 17 and 16). We made the siblings share the king bed rooms and we moms opted for the twin room so we could have our own beds. The kiddos found the board games (Are You Normal? and Trivia Pursuit), pulled the table into the middle of the living room and spent the evening actually socializing and interacting with each other! Side note for other unobservant parents, we did not realize the Are You Normal? was supposed to be 18+. They...

”The cottage was nice and secluded. There were lots of deer and Johnson city is adorable. There were lots of ants on the “porch” part of the property, lots were dead but they were still there, I am sure it’s just because it was hot and summer time in hill country. My only complaint is that the window unit was not enough to keep up and keep the cottage cool. The hosts were very communicative and everything we needed was available. We enjoyed our weekend there”
