”We stayed in the studio cottage. It is with good ambiance and very spacious unit with full stocked kitchen facilities. The sea view is excellent and all made our stay very pleasant. There was a recent ownership transition and check in was through a phone call. We booked another unit originally with welcome gift and that was changed and we only found out after checking in. The new owner called and apologised and promised some compensation but never heard again. There was no instruction on WiFi...

”We absolutely would recommend "The Lodge" as your base while visting Stanley.The lodge was beautifully decorated with a quirkiness which we loved.The sunroom with its big windows framed our water views.The viewing platform for seeing the penguins at dusk was just a quick 5 minute stroll from "The Lodge" and we were able to walk around most of the quaint town and explore all its eateries and shops.”

”Uninterrupted views of the ocean. Loved the barrel fire pot on the veranda. Didn't need it, but just lovely to be out there. Great place for an extended family to hang out, beachcombing, fishing or just sitting with a wine and a good book. Its got it all, and all the things you need if the weather gets wild and woolly.....didn't happen in our case. ”

”Great location. Quiet. Basic amenities but could do with a couple of extra utensils in the kitchen area (additional bread and butter knife, there was only one and steak knives aren’t the best for spreading, a pot that fits fits the steamer). The shower was good. Plenty of hot water. Bed super comfortable. Decent linens. Excellent selection of reading material as there was TV, music source or wifi in our beach cabin. It’s a studio arrangement which worked fine for us. Views were super and the...

”Generally, very good. To improve, it will be good to provide instruction on how to deal with rubbish bins. Also, there is problem to communicate with host as this is a non-wotif property and host message to me through the managing agent (website) is lost. I have to contact the host direct to found out they actually gave me messages. ”

”We wanted to visit the Tarkine and this proved the perfect base. Spacious and cosy with easy to operate wood fire, good kitchen with full size fridge.Lots of thoughtful touches made this a very pleasant stay.”

Lovely family stay

"Lovely three nights stay at the foot of The Nut. Two nice beaches in immediate vicinity, a few restaurants and cafes in walking distance make this a perfect place for a family holiday. Nightly penguin visits by the shore. A very interesting Highfield Historic Site is worth a visit (5 mins drive), so is Dipp Falls about 40 mins drive away."
